The Risks of Long-Term Decisions
When you look with the benefit of hindsight at what long term was doing, they weren't being very long term, right? The data and their the data and their models, right, for all the Nobel laureates they had at that firm at the time was like four or five years over span of time. If not for that DOJ decision, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Again, the fact that that is a risk that they didn't think about, but wait a minute, that's not quantitative. That's human beings, right? And so karma's a bitch.
