Hebrews 9:23 says it was necessary for the copies of the things in the heavens to be cleansed with blood. The inner room of the tabernacle, called the holy of holies, was an image of the highest heaven. And since god was enthroned there, finally, then the tabernacles was a place where god could be approached through mediators.
