Using Simple Effects to Create a Slapback Effect

The only sound not to be processed with any effects is the drum beat. Some heavy compression has been applied to give the beat a little bounce or pumping. The strange yet evocative delay effect is achieved by using high pass and low pass filter in series and working within narrow band. Both filters are modulated using a sin shaped l f o, that is adopting a variable l f o rate. This results in a slapback type of effect that also sounds nice and crunchy.
