Senate Confirmation Hearing: Scrutiny of a Controversial Nominee

President-elect Trump's nominee for Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, faced some intense questioning in his confirmation hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee. Hegseth was asked about his stance on DEI initiatives, women in the military and very personal questions regarding his personal life including his treatment of wives and his drinking habits. Republican Senators and several hundred veterans are showed their support for him in D.C.
