It was a huge medeor event, and a large number of leaders were present. This was the first time an american president in office had actually left the shores of the united states. There was obviously a very important social side, if you like. So there was a lot there was dancing. There was whining. Ther were vicificits out to the countryside round paris. But they were able to act as, someways, as a kind of world government. They were making executive decisions about the problems that the world was facing at a very turbulent time.
