Amanda was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. The family were told there would be more surgeries to treat her illness. Her father started cycling around town and raising money for Amanda's care. He even flew to california to get donations from people in the local Korean community. His story moved the public, he wrote an autobiography about his experience.
