The Role of Metadata in Digitalization

There has been significant reflection around metadata in the new data act that's currently going through a vision within in Europe. It's good to see that being addressed and dealt with and certainly examined as part of that process but that's really the first time I've seen that in the industry be raised as an issue. The future is very much about distributed applications. Instead of saying the clouds the answer what's the question it should be I need to solve this business problem. This is the application I use to solve that problem where's the best place to execute that application?
