This is the 60th anniversary of John F. Kennedy's speech at American University warning of the costs of the Cold War. He calls for us to reflect on our own war-like society and create institutions of peace. And this was his speech talking up the test ban treaty that was later signed with his secretary of state and Gromiko, the Soviet Foreign Secretary.
