Christian Art Operates by Indirection at Its Best

Christian art especially ought to be indirect and use the tools of surprise and wonder. If our relationship to images in the modern world is increasingly idolatrous, then artists who are serious about what they're trying to communicate are going to have to try and teach us how not to be idolatrous. I think we're all doing this magnificently in this Missouri series which comes from Psalm 51, right? Which we pray every Friday morning in the Catholic Liturgies.
