Is It a High Viscosity Liquid?
Glass is not actually a solid, but in fact is a high viscosity liquid. The myth comes from the fact that you got window panes in old buildings like like stained glass windows and they'll have thicker glass towards the bottom of the panes. And so the idea was people thought, well, they would if you made the glass pane evenly thick, then it must be sagging.
