How to Relax Your Body as You Meditate

When your body is relaxed, your mind can focus. Prop a pillow under your hips. This rolls your hips forward and takes pressure off your back. Place pillows under your knees too, so that your legs don't fall asleep if you're seated on the floor as you meditate. Relax your jaw, relax your neck, and soften your throat. Feel the tension drain down your spine. Relax your chest and your arms. Relax your hands and place them on your lap with your palms upward or downward. Let it hang out softly. With each inhale, feel your abdomen expand as you oxygenate your entire body. And as you exhale, feelyour abdomen contract and sink back downward
