Anger Management - The Egolessness of Self
The more real and solid we perceive ourselves to be, the more justified it feels to get angry when we think we've been wronged or injured. We also assume that there is a real and permanent self in us that is worthy of protecting. Chanti David talks about the same kind of thing. If we can tolerate getting hit by a falling rock and not get mad, why not do it when we're mistreated by other people? It's challenging to do because we have certain expectations of other people that we don't have chairs or sharks or rocks.
