Volatility Is a Knife That Cuts Both Directions
Steve says volatility is a knife that cuts both directions. When interest rats go down, they don't ease financial conditions until they do. But the qualm is banks aren't really wanting to lend as much and consumers aren't in a position to be borrowing as much. And so what happens is rates are going down because there isn't enough money being created by the monetary system to support all the things that needs to be held up.
