Kates-Emfra is one of the parts of the project that has been really, really tight about things are in Git. It almost to the extent possible, if you want to add a subdomain to the Kubernetes project, you go file a pull request to a little yaml file and just add your sub domains. So by having it there, it's up to the broader project to control these things. Having the open governance also means that it's sort of up to the community and that can be hard, but it also means someone else can take over.
