The Current Uprising in Iran Began After the Death of Jina Masa Amini
The current uprising began after jina masa amini a young kurdish iranian woman died in morality police custody after being arrested for not properly covering her hair. Why of all the problems facing iran and all these contradictions that have been deepening that we've been discussing why was it specifically the police repression of women that has sparked such an inferno? i would say that in my view we have to kind of emphasize both the continuity of these protests and this building and building sense of grievance and frustration that we've outlined which includes social and public contexts.
