The Politics of Cities and Suburbs
With the exception of california, ohio has more cities than an average american could name y. And when you have a lot of cities, you have a lots of suburbs. So in both parties, republicans keep rejecting the suburbanites. They are not willing to say and do the things that are necessary to become a majority party. That's nobody's fault but their own. If they can't figure out how to make a majority coalition, when the republicans are basically like, here, take my money, handing them these opportunities.
