Stonehenge and Its History
The existence of stonehenge tells us that we're dealing with a very, a complex, sophisticated society. We need be careful not to get confused when we talk about how long stonehenge took to be built. The site was active as a religious area for generations and megalists were being brought to t site,. But on the other hand, any individual monument probably was constructed in a relatively brief period. Because the stones are engineered with each other, the design of the monument means that it has to have been built as a single project.
