The Relationship Between Soldiers and Conscientious Objectors in the First World War

Many of these the people that you look at didn't really manage to stay out of war entirely. As they were driving ambulances on the front line and taking on other duties how did they find this encounter with war when they came face to face with it? A mixture uh for some of them it was immensely exciting but also terrifying as it is equally for others. Roy Ridgway you saw you saw violence on on several front lines towards the end of the war was just simply had enough of it and he'd seen far too much violence. Interestingly though the relationship between soldiers and conscientious objectors was often very warm and respectful not only did they have to often serve next to each other
