The Market Expects a Skip in the Fed Statement
Vince Cignarella: The market is looking for a skip. We don't really call it a pause because the July meeting is still on the table. There's a hawkish bent or a hawkish lean is what we're expecting in the statements. He says Powell needs to lay the hammer down and say, essentially, core inflation is not getting down to 2% goal anywhere near as quickly as they'd like it to.
