Small talk is asking questions, getting other people to share and then sharing something about yourself. What i'd rather have you say is, tell me what you do, and then they'll give you their title. The next question for someone you've met before should be: Tell me who your clients are. Why do they hire you? Most people will feel very flattered by that question. It's much better than saying the gross revenue of your business or how many offices it has.
