How to Define a Child
So if there's nothing else to go along with it, kid is generally a child. Let's say under 12. My niece would be kind of an, well, my niece is about 14 months old now. So would that be an infant? I don't, I don't know. Anywhere between 17, 18 up through the 20s, I would say, is a young adult. That's also a definition I never hear students talk about. But that definitely exists. And if you use that term in the speaking or writing, it'll look really good because most students don't say that.
