The First Vision - A History of Memory
i love that you've done something fresh and new, because you're looking not just at the differences between the the versions that joseph smith provided, but also the context in which he was living when he provided those vario accounts. It has, it's an intersection of a profound personal experience and then training as a historian. We ought to be more concerned about and invested in understanding how people remember than and just about anything else. But having said that, historians generally haven't been particularly great at that.
