GCP in Bigtable - What We Learned From That
The first time that we started the test workload onto Bigtable, we did some tests in MongoDB and looked at the number of metrics that we were writing per second. We saw that we were doing hundreds of thousands of rights per second more than we actually predicted. As soon as we switched over to the new driver, it went down to 3,000 rights per second - which is a pretty significant difference. And this is really important when you're querying the data. The original key was based on an account ID. So every account with insubidentity gets a unique ID. And then also the metric name. That reduced query times from 30 to 40 seconds in some cases down to
