The range of corporations in the early one period, i think, is quite difficult for us to understand all of them. The most common form of corporation, in the trading sense, is some bin called a regulated company. Over the course of the following centuries, the state would take on many of those responsibilities, and they'd be stripped away from these corporations that were so important for the ilimon merchant.
