How to Deal With Legacy Equipment Attacks
Mite spotted the abuse because of its being leveraged for attack. That's also ultimately how mite was made aware of it. It really does seem like one of those tricky sorts of things. Clary when you're working with legacy equipment like this. I would imagine there 're a lot of organizations who have things kind of running behind the scenes, and they probably think to themselves, "We might as well leave it running"
