Lego Bricks - Godfred's Breakthrough

Godfred's breakthrough was to add three tubes to the otherwise hollow interior of the bricks, so that the studs on top had something to connect to. This new interlocking system allowed the bricks to snap together, hold tight and yet still separate easily when pulled apart - a ture which the company later dubbed clutch power.
