Until we raised venture funding, five years into the business, i had never had a conversation with my team about an exit of any sort. We were always maybe a few months away from not making pay roll. It made us really feel the granularity of our business. And also, and this is crazy, but until we had these meetings with investors, we just were loving what we were doing.
