Boris Johnson vs Rishi Sunak in the Conservative Leadership Campaign

If Rishi Sunak had been prime minister, this wouldn't have happened. But he was regarded as the brightest spark in the conservative sort of right. Only after Sadja Javid resigned over Dominic Cummings' shenanigans that Sunak ended up in treasury. It doesn't explain to me how they've gone from an ATC majority to a pretty much self-destruct in the space of three years. If you put somebody in that people seem to like the character of but doesn't have any competency whatsoever, what an earth you expect is going to happen to your coming when it's left in their hands?
