I don't understand why dan and azes are offering it as that which offers a bridge over these other social stratifications, or through them, or transforms them. And secondly, i think what we disagree about is nea liberalism radically disintegrated class consciousness and concrete institutions for labor and laws protecting labor. That's where i think our argument is right now. I don't think that organizing people at the level of their economic solidarity, let alone in a potentially post work society, has been terrifically successful. It seems to me that the question of whether trump supporters and the mobilization of the it was simply possible because we didn't have adequate labor consciousness.
