The Father of Advertising, Edward Bernays

Edward Bernays was the father of PR in advertising. Mad Men is a show that's really all about advertising, and they chose to look at his Lucky strikes campaign as part of their pilot episode. The company asked him to change the color but didn't like it so he linked it to women's suffrage. That kind of thinking is so outside of my thinking that it's hard for me to even understand.
