The Myth of the Edwardian Period
A generation was lost in the feswall war. And britain really never went back to the same way of life. I think that is one of the the myths of the early twentieth century, isn't it? That there was a kind of golden age of the edwardian period - and i'm not slagging off danton abbey. It's great. But the idea of this as reflected in downton abbey is a real myth.
