There are no pictures of the Dalai Lama in monasteries. And hasn't been in so long. Tibet has moved on, every community and country moves on. We have strived very hard over the last 63 years to re-establish most of the monastic institutions in exile around the world. That does not necessarily mean to say they no longer exist.
