The Future of Cricket in Saudi Arabia
The idea of Saudi interest in cricket growing and taking the shape of a T20 competition in the kingdom has been discussed. There is a sense that if you're going to invest from a Saudi Arabia point of view into cricket, you're doing that because you want to raise profile in India. It will be interesting to see how long live golf persists, given that it is continuing to be very polarising. But yeah, as far as cricket is concerned, the injection of that extra cash would certainly change things once again like Indian private investment changed things with the advent of IPL.
