The History of the Tin Watch
Robert Hook had invented the Bownspring mechanism and Thomas Tompean who will recur in this tale in a moment made the first ones. They were, you know, I mean we all carry smartphones, I've come around here someplace nowadays, and they're emblems of modernity. And the actual sort of accurate watch was in the late 1680s when this would have been happening, still a very new invention. The Museum of London is as far as I know the only place that has any of these left.
