Harvey Weinstein began to, among his many other sins and effects on Hollywood, reinvented the award season by really scrapping aggressively for Miramax's films in the 90s. So it changes and the Academy must police the rules; Andrea Rizbro, this film made $30,000 when it first came out. It had almost no promotional juice at all. There have been different controversies. Is the Academy tool? Does their taste too square?
