There are a number of theories as to why the book could be plain text. The first is that it was written in a constructed language, like Esperanto. There's also been speculation about whether or not there were any ciphers on the pages at all. A final theory is that someone writing with gloolalia may have used an invented alphabet for this purpose. But even if they did use letters and numbers, how do you decode them?
