The Squegee Gate and the Tampax Gate

In August of 1992, the Sun revealed they had a recorded phone conversation between Diana and her lover, James Gilby. The scandal became known as Squegee Gate. In January 1993, just a few months later, Charles was found guilty of the same crime when an even more scandalous recording of the Prince of Wales and Camilla became public. Shortly after the squidgy gate and Tampax Gate leaks, Charles and Diana publicly split.
