The Word of God Comes Down at Christmas

The Christmas story means that God knows what it's like to be lonely. When Jesus moved into the neighborhood, He became actually the loneliest person to ever live on this planet. His death on the cross because on the cross, Jesus, took your sin upon himself and experienced cosmic separation from his Father. There's no point of suffering or pain that you can walk through without experiencing loneliness in some way.
