Is It Self-Protection?
Nigel Farridge: When you are faced with something that's completely outside of your experience, it can be incredibly jarring. And I see it on the same graph then of delusion or cultishness or whatever you want to call it. Is it self-protection as well? Because I'm thinking of 9-11. It took me a while to appreciate this. How is this any difference, as Tim, to deny 9-11? 3,000 people died then. But if I was built slightly differently, would I be reassured by the idea of it being an inside job? because otherwise, I'd feel more vulnerable to random and turning my life upside down.
