The Global South Debt Suspension Scheme

When the pandamic hit last year, leaders of the g 20 countries responded quite quickly to the debt crisis. The initiative doesn't actually include all countries that need the debt suspension r the debt service spension. And so it's just really become a bit f the bail oup programme for private lenders. It was good to see thosehese countries pushing for em debts to be mentioned. Mere motley, the prime minister of barbadus, mentioned high levels of debt werewas now hampering climber action. There was also a very powerful statement issued by the group of climate vunorable countries calling for more action on debt.
