Stanley christopheson took over command of the regiment just a few days after deda. He introduced a kind of very different approach of leadership, he says. And i think that had an incredible knock on effect for his ability to keep going and smile all the time. I've really come to the conclusion that leadership really does kind of suffuse what is beneath it - there's nothing worse than a poor leader. The atmosphere in in the regiment was a really, really strong one.
