The Early Block Printing in Europe?
Most mediaeval texts were religious, weren't they? It seems pretty clear that the earliest prints at least southern europe, were appearing in monasteries. And so i wonder if, as you know, it felt very clear that there was this contact with cloistered people. And this is where the printing took place. I think that really applies for, i would say, 90 % of mediaeval text.
