The End of Polite Society
In this video, McClellan is talking about polite society and how again that the sense ratio of what I've called a more formal society. In 1968, he's saying that due to the rise of electronic mediums and this going to become the predominant way information is going to be transferred,. That polite society or whatever that concept means will no longer exist. But here is him going back and forth with a few different intellectuals. Check it out. He says we happen to have lived in what amounts to the dark ages. We're not highly integral civilization. And this is what distresses people who belong to the old specialist disintegrated one.
