How to Care for Silk Fabrics

The best way to wash silk is by hand in warm water with a gentle detergent. If you have no care instructions whatever for your silk fabric, i wouldn't throw the whole piece in the wash right away. Using steam or re wetting the silk can leave water marks. It's also not a good idea to put silk in the dryer. And one final tip we have is to try a baby hem, or a small rolled hem, to finish the bottom of your silk garments.
