The Drawback of Tubers
In hilly regions of the alps and switzerland, there are really good food for a good crop. But they have thebenefit over grain as welland this is something that the anthropologist gimsy scott has pointed out in a number of his recent books. Because they grow underground, tubers are less visible to the state in a variety of different ways. And when you harvest them, it's not so visible that you're having a wheat harvest.
