The city of Ubar is said to have been destroyed by a force of good, in this case, God. The details of the disaster are naturally vague and usually natural disasters are seen as happening for some sort of reason. But if it was real, then it would still exist out there somewhere, right? At least according to legend. It's kind of like Atlantis or Sodom and Gomorrah.
