A Dark Humanoy and a Moose

Riden through a huge forest for an entire day, and then he comes out on the other side. Riden stays the night in a castle as most of the lords are happy to entertain him. And they tell him of strange happenings on the road ahead. He describes wandering into this dland and comes to a clearing filled with animals. His eye falls on a dark humanoy twice the size of any normal man. A moor being what people in mediaeval europe call those from middle east or subshar in africa. Though through the description we'l hear it's obvious that this thing is not human at all.
