It's a common beginner mistake to try to preach to people. The best you can do is just live the way you want to live and be confident about it. And then it's up to them if they want to copy you and not everybody will. If you want your friends to copy you, make sure you demonstrate that it gives them what they want. Make sure it's obvious that you have friends. Everyone wants a house that looks nice inside and out.
