Are We Treating Wild Animals Wrongly?

With jean editing, we don't need to experiment on all wild animals, or anything like that, in order to give them beneficial, genetically engineered traits. You can just release the animals into the wild, and those animals will pass on the genetically engineered trait to almost all o their offspring. This is called doing a gean drive, and it's something that we're able to do with current genetic technology. We're not turning nature into a zout fof all the wild animals who have to be experimented on for the sake of developing beneficent genetic interventions. And i agree that it' bad to experiment on animals but the severity of wild animal suffering justifies some moral costs.
