What's the Meaning of Privacy?

Technology has made it easier to see what's happening somewhere and learn about that. This was an infringement of privacy in the later part of the nineteenth century. Now people are not only consumers of information, but also producers of information. Privacy is defined differently as information of self determination. It means there shouldn't be intermediaries that have strong control over how you perceive me.
